At K9 Haven, Buena Vista, Colorado, our story is deeply rooted in love for dogs and Chaffee County. Nestled by the Arkansas River, our K9 enrichment resort and canine mental enrichment center reflects our passion for this picturesque region and our four-legged companions.

Jim and Liz Crane, founders of K9 Haven, share a profound devotion to dogs. Liz grew up surrounded by dogs, learning invaluable lessons on providing the best care. Jim's journey began at 15, working with Coon hunting dogs and later managing 175 sled dogs at Snow Cap Sled Dogs in Breckenridge, Colorado.

In 2012, responding to demand for expert dog care, Liz and Jim established K9 Adventure Fitness in Breckenridge. Their services included dog enrichment and training, pet sitting, daycare, and boarding, expanding throughout Summit County, Colorado, with a dedicated team of Pack Leaders.

In January 2020, driven by a commitment to dogs and the community, they purchased land in Buena Vista, Colorado, the heart of Chaffee County. This marked the beginning of K9 Haven Pet Resort and Supplies, which opened in December 2024, creating a sanctuary for dogs.
